God Desires to Pour Out His Spirit of Grace and Prayer on All His People

In these days, the last days of this age, God’s plan is to pour out His Spirit over all people on planet earth to fulfill His destiny for the world, indeed the entire universe.

Scriptures:

Zechariah 12:10 (NIV)
“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son…”

Joel 2:28 (NIV)
‘And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions… ‘

Acts 2:17-18 (NIV)
“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people… Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, pour out Your Spirit of Grace to the salvation of the lost around the world because it is by grace I am saved. It is not of my own doing. Thank You, Abba Father, for the gift of salvation paid for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross and by His glorious resurrection from the grave!

Also pour out Your Spirit of Grace, Father, upon all believers that every Christian can grow in grace and become more and more like You, Jesus. Empower and fill me, Holy Spirit, to become spiritually mature believer, walking in love, obedience, faithfulness, wholeness and holiness before God and people.

Almighty Father, pour out Your Spirit of Prayer and Intercession on all Christians globally that we may grow deeper and more intimately in our relationship and communication with You. Let prayer be an open, transparent and meaningful dialog and let it never be reduced to or deteriorate to a meaningless monolog. Let worship and prayer always be done in Spirit and in Truth – Jesus, You are the eternal TRUTH!

Generous Heavenly Father, pour out Your Spirit of Prayer and Intercession that every believer will be anointed and empowered to fulfill Your eternal destiny upon our lives – individually, in family and in the family of God.

Father, may Your kingdom come and Your complete and perfect will be done always in me, my family, my church, my community, my state/province and my nation in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen

Day 10: He Convicts the World of Sin, Righteousness and Judgement

The Holy Spirit works with both believers and unbelievers. One of the most important works of the Holy Spirit is to bring conviction of sin to life in Christ Jesus.

Scriptures:

John 16:8-11 (NIV)
8  When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9  in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10  in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11  and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

John 3:5-7 (NIV)
5  Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.  6  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  7  You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, convict the world, including the people of (my city: _______________; my state: ______________; my nation: _______________) of sin, righteousness and judgment and fulfill the Great Commission in Jesus’ Mighty’ Name. (For example, Flagstaff, Arizona, USA).

The Holy Spirit is the Counselor Who Testifies about Jesus

The Holy Spirit is our Teacher Who instructs us about Jesus, Who He is and what He does. He brings testimony about Jesus.

Scriptures:

John 15:26 (NIV)
“When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me…”

1 John 2:27 (NIV)
But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in him.

John 16:13 (NIV)
“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

John 16:15 (NIV)
“All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.”

Revelation 22:17 (NIV)
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, come and be my Advisor, Advocate, Counselor, Comforter and “spiritual Lawyer.” Teach me more about Jesus, what He said and what He wants me to do – right now, today, tomorrow and in the future in Jesus’ Almighty Name. Amen

The Holy Spirit Leads

It is God’s desire that all believers are led by the Holy Spirit throughout life and in ministry. He knows the plans of God (The Will of God) and is committed to share them with all followers of Jesus, if we only take time to listen!

Scriptures:

Romans 8:14 (NIV)
… because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Luke 2:25-26 (NIV)
25  Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
26  It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, empower me always to be led and guided by You. Thank You that You are much more eager to lead me than I’m to be lead. Don’t give up on me, Holy Spirit! Take me by the hand and direct me according to God’s complete and perfect Will every moment of every day in Jesus’ Name. Father in Heaven, it is a real joy to be Your son/daughter. Blessed be the Name of the Lord! Hallelujah! Amen

The Holy Spirit Gives Life

The Holy Spirit is the life-giver. Jesus’ Words are life-giving. His very Words are life. Therefore there is great power in Spirit-given Words!

Scriptures:

John 6:63 (NIV)
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

2 Corinthians 3:6 (NIV)
He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant–not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, You give Life. Fill me with Your abundant and eternal Life. Fill me also with the Word of God, which You charge with Divine Life and Power. Let the Word of God live in me anointedly and richly. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, to walk in victory over the desires and passions of the flesh, as well as, to always live, move and be led by the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen

The Holy Spirit Is Called The Spirit of Truth

Jesus called the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. He promised that the Holy Spirit would lead God’s people into “all truth” (John 16:13)

Scriptures:

John 16:13 (NIV)
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

1 John 2:27 (NIV)
… But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit–just as it has taught you, remain in him.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, guide me, my family, my church, my community and my nation into all the Truth in Jesus’ Name. Jesus, You are the Truth!

The Holy Spirit Empowers

The power, strength and energy to do God’s mission and ministry comes from The Holy Spirit. If you fill weak and spiritually anemic today, ask The Holy Spirit to fill you to overflowing with His power, presence and strength!

Scriptures:

Acts 1:8 (NIV)
“…But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Romans 8:11 (NIV)
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own…

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, empower me to be an anointed, bold and faithful witness for Jesus. Strengthen me to be a powerful Intercessor, as well as a humble, faithful and patiently enduring Revelation Overcomer.  In Jesus’ Almighty Name. Amen

The Holy Spirit Is Given Through Prayer and Worship

We come to The Holy Spirit through prayer and worship to inquire of Him and develop a deeper relationship with Him

Scriptures:

Luke 11:13 (NIV)
“… If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Ezekiel 36:27 (NIV)
And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

Acts 13:2-3 (NIV)
2  While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
3  So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your generosity in giving to Your people, including me (us), the gift of the Holy Spirit. Remind me (us), Lord, to pray much more often for the Fullness of the Holy Spirit and for the Good Gift of the Holy Spirit to be poured out generously on all God’s people every day. In Jesus’ Almighty Name. Amen

Be Full of The Holy Spirit

The Bible encourages all followers of Jesus to be “full of the Holy Spirit” , like Stephen the martyr was.

Scriptures:

Acts 6:5 (NIV)
This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit…

Ephesians 5:18B (NIV)
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, cause me (us) to “Be filled with the (Holy) Spirit” according to Ephesians 5:18B. Anoint and empower me (us) to be like Your servant, Stephen: “Stephen, a man FULL of faith and of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 6:5). Fill me (us), Holy Spirit, to be Christ-like just as Stephen was – to Your glory, honor and praise!

Holy Spirit, I (we) pray for You to fill me (us) with the Seven-Fold Fullness Anointing of Stephen:

  • Full of the Holy Spirit
  • Full of Christ’s Love
  • Full of Faith
  • Full of Grace
  • Full of Wisdom
  • Full of Power
  • Full of Forgiveness

In Jesus’ Almighty Name. Amen

The Holy Spirit Indwells All Believers

When we invite Jesus to come into our hearts, the Holy Spirit enters in. We are “born again” of the Spirit of God.

Scriptures:

1 Corinthians 3:16 (NIV)
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own…

2 Timothy 1:14 (NIV)
Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you–guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

Prayer:

Thank You, Heavenly Father, that I’m (we’re) Your temple and that You, Holy Spirit, live in me (us), even right NOW – this very moment! Bless You, Holy Spirit!

Holy Spirit, I (we) want You to know I’m (we’re) overjoyed that You live inside me (us).

Empower me (us), Holy Spirit, to take good care of Your dwelling place, God’s temple, which is my body (our bodies), a precious gift from You, Lord, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen
