Developing Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit – Introduction

The Holy Spirit is a very important and integral part of every Christian’s life. He enters the believer’s life when Jesus comes into our lives (Savior and Salvation). The Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity and of equal importance with the other two Persons of the Trinity (God, the Father and Jesus, His Son).

In the Christian Church, we hear much teaching and preaching on God, The Father and Jesus, His Son, but not so much on The Holy Spirit. Therefore some Christians are unclear about Who The Holy Spirit is and what He does. But The Holy Spirit is critically important to all development, and mission and ministry in the kingdom of God. It is therefore important believers cultivate and nurture a more intimate and close relationship with the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, The Holy Spirit.

This new PWI Blog series, The PWI Prayer Blog IIDeveloping Sensitivity To The Holy Spirit, is intended to assist Christians in developing a deeper Biblical understanding of Who The Holy Spirit is and what He does: All to cultivate and nurture a stronger and more open relationship with The Holy Spirit. This will cause followers of Jesus to be more fruitful and God wants His people to be greatly fruitful.

This is a prayer blog containing various themes (foci), Scripture passages and prayers focusing on The Holy Spirit, Who He is and what He does. It is our prayer The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us toward greater intimacy with Him and release more Holy Spirit power to carry out the ministry God has called us to do.

The Holy Spirit knows how to pray. In fact, He prays for all believers in accordance with the will and purpose of God:

Romans 8:26-27 (NIV)
26  In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
27  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

May Spirit of God bless and inspire us as we seek to grow deeper in our relationship with God, The Father, God, The Son, and God, The Holy Spirit!

Overwhelmed by The Holy Spirit,
