God’s Plan of Prayer for the Church
The vision God gave to PWI builds on God’s general plan of prayer for the church. It is to be a House of Prayer for the nations (study prayerfully Isaiah 56:7 and Matthew 21:13). To be a House of Prayer starts with each individual Christian because we are considered to be the Temple of God’s Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). But God doesn’t stop with the individual Christian person; He expects families, ministries, churches, denominations, indeed, the entire body of Christ to be a House of Prayer for the nations.
However, the body of Christ in many places around the world has drifted away from being the House of Prayer God intended. Prayer is the priority expressed in Scriptures and clearly practiced in the early church (see Acts 1:14 and 2:42).
Therefore PWI feels the call of God to share this fundamental truth of prayer with the body of Christ and encourage the church again to be a house of prayer for all nations.
