Daily Focus: May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will Be Done

Jesus said in The Lord’s Prayer: May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it does in heaven.


 Matthew 6:10 (NIV)
… your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven…

Matthew 26:39 (NIV)
“… Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”


Father, may YOUR KINGDOM COME and YOUR COMPLETE and PERFECT WILL be done in and through our (their) lives; in family, Christian church involvements, work, ministry, play, school and all relationships in Jesus’ Almighty Name. Amen



Daily Focus: Respect and Honor the Dignity of Life

Respect and honor of others is important in the kingdom of God, especially in a world often characterized by violence and defamation of character and Godly values. Fundamental to life in the body of Christ is to uphold the dignity of life.


Deuteronomy 16:19 (NIV)
Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

Philippians 1:27 (NIV)
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel

Philippians 4:8 (NIV)
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.


Jesus, let us (them) always be RESPECTFUL of our (their) elders, all you have placed in authority over us and cause us to have respect for all people and property. May we (they) always uphold the DIGNITY OF LIFE. Lord, You are the creator of life and You sustain it according to Your divine design. Empower us, by your Spirit, to respect and honor all things You have created and love in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Daily Focus: Obedience and Submission to Authority

One of the greatest words in God’s vocabulary is obedience. We may know every all things pertaining to the kingdom of God, but if we don’t walk in obedience, it goes for naught. God’s people are to respect persons of authority unless they ask us to do something contrary to the will and plan of God.


Romans 13:1 (NIV)
Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God

1 Peter 2:13-14 (NIV)
Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

John 14:15 (NIV)
“If you love me, you will obey what I command…”

John 14:21 (NIV)
“… Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him”

John 14:23 (NIV)
Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him…”


Teach us (them), Lord, to be OBEDIENT to You, parents, grandparents and all others in authority. Teach us (them) to live in submission to all in authority as long as those in authority do not ask us (them) to do things contrary to the Word of God. If so, then help us (them) to obey God rather than man in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Daily Focus: Being Fruitful

God expects all His people to be fruitful – to produce fruit, to become more fruitful and to produce much fruit which brings much glory to God.


Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

John 15:8 (NIV)
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

John 15:16 (NIV)
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.


Generous Father, let all of us (them) produce MUCH FRUIT, especially the fruit of the HOLY SPIRIT: A “Bumper” crop of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control – and see many lost souls saved – all to Your glory and honor and praise and delight in Jesus’ Powerful Name. Amen

Daily Focus: Well Adjusted and Grounded

Living in a world of uncertainty and challenges it is important to be well grounded and Biblically adjusted in order to avoid being unduly influenced by forces and sources contrary to God’s will and plans


John 14:6 (NIV)
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Psalm 32:8 (NIV)
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

Ephesians 3:16-17 (NIV)
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love…

Ephesians 4:13 (NIV)
… until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.


Help us (them), Lord, to grow up to be WELL ADJUSTED and EXCEPTIONALLY WELL GROUNDED in You and in Your Word and WELL-LIKED by all, without compromise of the Truth – as Jesus, You are the Way, the TRUTH and the Life, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen

Daily Focus: Right Balance in Life

It is important that God’s people have a Godly balance in the use of time, talents and resources according to the Word of God



Exodus 20:8 (NIV)
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

Isaiah 58:11 (NIV)
The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

James 1:5 (NIV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

May You help us (them), Jesus, to have the RIGHT AND HEALTHY BALANCE between YOU, FAMILY, WORK, PLAY, watching TV and spending time on the INTERNET (including all social networking involvements). We ask for divine wisdom and Holy Spirit discernment to guide us in all these decisions in Jesus’ Almighty Name. Amen

Daily Focus: Right Priorities

It is God’s desire for all of His followers to understand and practice right priorities, Biblical priorities, starting young and follow them throughout our life-times to His glory and honor.

Father in Heaven, may our children, grandchildren and family develop a balanced life with the RIGHT PRIORITIES: God – first, family – second, school and/or work – third, and then mission and ministry. Lord, may we (they) love You with all of our hearts and serve You in Christian mission and ministry to Your glory and honor and praise in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Daily Focus: Discovery and Development of Gifts

God gives gifts to all of His family members. These gifts need to be recognized, developed to maturity and placed in the body of Christ as God has intended so they can build His kingdom of earth.

Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.

But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.


O Holy Spirit, help us (them) to recognize and fully discover all of our (their) God-given GIFTS, including Spiritual Gifts, develop these gifts to anointing and maturity in Christ, and use them to Your glory and honor and praise in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen


Daily Focus: Good and Godly Friends


Proverbs 17:17 (NIV)
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity”

Proverbs 18:24 (NIV)
“A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”


Grant us (them), Father, GOOD and GODLY FRIENDS who love You and who also live pure lives according to Your Word and by Your Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name. Amen


Daily Focus: The Difference Between Right and Wrong


Psalm 119:33-34 (NIV) 
“Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart”

Psalm 119:133 (NIV)
“Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me”


Teach us (them), Lord, to know the difference between RIGHT and WRONG and to practice it at all times and in all circumstances to Your glory and honor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
